Where it turns up
Friday, September 13, 2019 Second weekend of September 2019
On the chart Hustlers (opening): $33.2M
Expected 'I'll say it ends up in the low 30s' Actual: $33.2M
In the note
Let’s figure it’s just a little worse than that and drops 55% for a weekend around 40. #2 Hustlers - Looks like something pretty special is happening here, STX is makin it rain.
Friday, September 20, 2019 Third weekend of September 2019
On the chart Hustlers (wk 2): $16.8M, -49%
Expected 'Down 45% from last weekend for about $17 million, with an outside shot at moving into 3rd' Actual: $16.8M, -49%
In the note
Looks about $17 million to me. #4 Hustlers - Looks just slightly better than the standard 2nd weekend drop right now.
Friday, September 27, 2019 Fourth weekend of September 2019
On the chart Hustlers (wk 3): $11.4M, -32%
In the note
Since it's such an adult skewing film, I wouldn't be surprised if it overperforms tomorrow and claws its way up to the standard 50% drop for about $15 million. Hustlers, Ad Astra, It Chapter 2 and Rambo - Just like last week they’re very close to each other and should all end up between 8 and 10 for the weekend, however they'll probably end up in the order I put them in. Judy - Opened wideish today on 500 runs.
Friday, September 15, 2023 Third weekend of September 2023
In the note
As expected this weekend will be better than the same weekend last year (The Woman King, See How They Run, Pearl, Moonage Daydream) and a decent amount behind 2019 (Hustlers, The Goldfinch).
