And burying their heads in the sand is something Nielsen has been doing for a long long time. Anyway, with the accuracy normally associated with NewsNation's Titanic Sub oxygen countdown clock, here are some thoughts on the weekend box-office. We’ve got a little bit of a box-office derby here, and it’s possible Spider-Man, Elemental, The Flash or No Hard Feelings could win the weekend, but here’s my best guess based on what I’m seeing right now. Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse - Looks like DC’s loss is Marvel’s gain here.

Because of the binary nature of this IP, if this ends up about the same gross as the last film's (MI: Fallout) weekend, the 3 day gross is going to look very similar to Indy, Transformers and Flash (which the press hasn't been terribly kind to) because it’s going to be missing those preview dollars.
